Artist NOTE _Jinsuh Jung
The inner world of humans is a complex of emotions accumulated from various experiences. A person who expresses himself only rationally without showing emotions is ultimately nothing more than a machine wearing a human mask. Emotions can be expressed rather than erupted only when they are revealed naturally, like an inexhaustible spring that constantly seeps from the ground, not like a geyser that gushes out irregularly. I think it would be good if these emotions were expressed through natural unfamiliarity rather than discomfort. Sometimes unfamiliarity and discomfort are used as synonyms. But comfortable unfamiliarity can bring pleasant newness. My thoughts on the essence of humanity begin with emotional thoughts about this unfamiliar newness. I want to express truth, not knowledge, and I believe that exploring and expressing unchanging truth is what an artist should do. The essence is truth, truth is soul, and soul is life.
By expressing this process in his work, the artist hopes to create a living work that communicates with the audience in its raw form without any commentary or annotation.

The artist, who graduated from Seoul National University's College of Fine Arts and Graduate School of Sculpture, has focused on three-dimensional work.
After encountering the genre of wax painting, he was fascinated by the purity of his material itself.
He switched to flat work using beeswax. Repeat the process of stacking and unstacking on the canvas with your own expressive medium made by mixing beeswax, rosin, and pigment.
Beeswax, which is made in the stomach of a bee, is a natural material extracted through the process of dissolving and refining bee hives.
Wax painting is a painting technique that originated in Greece in the 4th century BC. It is a (material) genre of painting that developed in ancient Greece, Egypt, and Rome, then declined, but was reexamined and revived in Western countries such as the United States and Europe in modern times.
