Author NOTE
Petal means flower petal. People are often compared to flowers, but I gave it this name because I thought the appearance of petals lightly fluttering in the wind was more suitable for children than a flower fixed in one place.
The sight of a child quietly gazing with calm but curious eyes reflects the characteristics of children, such as a round, curved face without sharp lines, a staring expression, and small shoulder width compared to the head. He likes TV cartoons and likes to be alone. I completed it by adding my childhood experiences.
Based on the experience of growing up immersed in animation and cartoon movie tapes, the initial work was to reconstruct the main characters in classic cartoons, but this 'Petal' shifts the gaze from the characters on the screen to the 'child' who was watching the screen. It can be said that it has moved.
The color of diluted acrylic naturally seeps in and blends harmoniously with the static and quiet work. The character's hair is the part that takes the most time to work on, and is drawn one by one using a thin and thin brush with the idea of capturing the character in each strand of hair.
