Artist NOTE _Shim Bong-min
went to a place I had forgotten about... where I played with my friends. There was an apartment, an airplane, a paper cup, an unmelted snowball, and a pinwheel. Longing bloomed there. And a longing quietly began to bloom in my heart. I folded up a paper airplane and flew it to my friends in my memories. They also sent a rubber motor to help them reach better. Let's blow up balloons as a gift. Paper boats also float on the waves. I also put down the phone. In the place where memories were piled up, they grew and grew, and before I knew it, it had become a vast garden. As a gardener in the garden of memories, I look around the garden and collect my longings. --In the garden of memories full of longing, ___Gardener Shim Bong-min.
Nostalgic garden The gardener in my garden thought he was in a special garden. I thought this was a garden of unique and talented people. However, that was a wrong idea. My garden was an ordinary, unobtrusive place with nothing special. After learning that fact, the gardener lost interest in the special. Rather, I observed ordinary things. Because of that interest, he was drawn to nature. In his eyes, the trees and grass that were common around him seemed more suitable for my garden. Natural objects in the garden grow or disappear according to my memories and time. The gardener managed the garden according to it. Because it was such an ordinary garden, the gardener took extra care. In order to prevent them from disappearing, ordinary things that pass by are not special and disappear more easily, so his wish for them to have meaning is embedded throughout my garden.
