Ha Myoung Eun
Searching for new pictorial expressions is always a fateful task for artists. In particular, in the case of my own work, I have pursued an escape from the form of painting, and this appears even more prominently in my work.
In the process of exploring contemporary values through my work, I study new formal and discursive alternatives in media, try new media, and try to interpret them, incorporating new media from other areas into my work and integrating them into the realm of pure painting. Research as much as possible. The formative form that is important in my work so far is visual, spatial, and three-dimensional.
Although there are some pop art-like clear lines and colors, this is only a cosmetic approach, and there is a significant difference in concept and work behavior. In addition to being a painting, the repetition of flat surfaces creates a sense of space through the repetition of flat surfaces. The work induces participation by allowing the audience's gaze to pass here and there within that space and to explore something inside.
