Rosie Park
The artist's work is neither oil painting nor watercolor, but opaque watercolor, with unique colors and textures. Oil uses both gouache (and watercolor) and has colors that are clear like watercolor and vivid like oil painting. Also, the reason why artist Rosie Park's work feels like an oriental still life is because it is used in Western painting. Rather than using vanishing points to focus the gaze on one place, it uses multiple viewpoints as used in oriental paintings.
This is because various viewpoints are placed on one screen and the gaze is distributed to all or several elements. That's why many objects appear on one screen, but there is no single main character, and the relationships are vertical. Also, rather than expressing the three-dimensionality of objects through clear depth or light and shade, the artist Intentionally avoid perspective and minimize shadows and light and dark to express still life in a two-dimensional manner.
